Frequently Asked Questions
Gazebos
Q: What is the difference between the Standard Grade and the Commercial Grade Gazebos?
A: Basically the answer is to do with the thickness of the steel used in the manufacture of the frame. This makes the commercial frame that much heavier. Also the finish of Standard frame is powder coated whilst the Commercial is galvanised for added protection from tarnish and scratches.
Having said that the commercial frame is heavier, and therefore stronger, this does not imply that the Standard frame is less sturdy. We have sold hundreds of standard frame gazebos and very rarely do we hear of problems with the frame. The standard frames are themselves very strong and are more than adequate for the majority of uses, whether in the garden, camping or exhibitions etc. However if it is intended for heavy duty use such as market trading or public events, then the commercial may be more appropriate.
Q: Is there any difference in the Canopy and Walls material?
A: Yes. The commercial version uses a heavier grade of Polyester material which is highly water resistant and fire retardant
Q: What do you get in the Wall / curtain sets?
A: This depends on the size of the gazebo. At a minimum each set contains 2 window panels, 1 plain panel and a door panel but for larger sizes the combinations will increase. Se the “specification” tables on the appropriate pages.
Q: Do I need to take the canopy off the frame when it is folded away?
A: No. when the canopy is first delivered, it comes in a separate box, but when it is put over the frame, it has Velcro strips which attach to the frame. So when the frame is folded down, the canopy stays attached to the roof struts and does not need to be removed.
Q: Does the gazebo come with a storage bag?
A: Yes. When the frame is folded down, the storage bag is pulled down over the complete frame for protection when stored. The bag also has handles which make it easier to put into a vehicle etc.
Q: Do you have any tips when erecting the Gazebo?
A: Yes. To avoid putting excess pressure on the side struts when erecting the gazebo, it is very important to ensure that the frame is fully extended first before engaging the first slider into the locking hole at the top of the leg. This means that you should walk around the gazebo several times, pulling out each leg as far as you can, so that the slider unit is situated almost directly under the locking hole.
Another tip: If you find it difficult pushing the slider unit UP into the locking hole, I would suggest you put your shoulder over the top of the leg and lever the slider up by pulling it up, rather than pushing it. This is especially helpful on the 2.5m x 5m and 3m x 6m units. And it is much easier than it sounds!!
Q: Can an “Instant” gazebo really be erected in 2 minutes?
A: Yes it certainly can, but ideally with 2 people. If each person stands opposite each other and each gets hold of the side struts (in the V position), then lift the whole frame, and walk backwards, you will find that the frame will expand to almost its full width with absolutely no effort at all.
Q: How do I hold down a gazebo when it is on hard standing?
A: There is not easy answer to this! We can supply a selection of weights which can be attached to the bottom of each leg which will certainly help to give more stability in moderate to strong winds. See the Ground Fixing Section. Alternatively you can secure it to something immoveable (vehicle) or something heavy such as a plastic container filled with sand or water.
Q: Do you provide spare parts?
A: If you purchased your gazebo from Intamark, then we will be pleased to supply spare sections, either struts or legs. This will be subject to availability depending on the size and type of frame.
